Terms of Service

1. The Service

Funnity helps people discover, create, join, and attend local community events, coordinate in event chat, and build safer in-person connections. Features may change as we improve the product.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service.

2. Accounts and identity

You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information. We may require identity documents to reduce fake accounts and improve trust for meetups. Submitting false documents or another person’s documents is prohibited.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create safety risk, or abuse the platform.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• harass, threaten, scam, or exploit other members; • post illegal, hateful, sexual exploitation, or otherwise prohibited content; • spam, scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service; • impersonate others or misrepresent affiliation; • use the Service for commercial spam or unauthorized advertising; • circumvent blocks, bans, reporting, or safety controls.

Event hosts and members remain responsible for their own conduct online and offline.

4. Events and real-world meetups

Events are organized by community members. Funnity is a technology platform, not the organizer of every meetup unless we expressly say so.

You acknowledge that in-person gatherings involve risk. Use judgment, meet in public places when appropriate, tell a trusted person where you are going, and leave any situation that feels unsafe. Report concerning behavior with in-app tools.

5. Content you submit

You retain rights to content you post (profiles, events, photos, chat). You grant Funnity a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the Service.

You represent you have the rights to content you upload and that it does not violate law or others’ rights.

6. Safety tools and moderation

We provide reporting, blocking, identity checks, and moderation. These tools help but do not guarantee a risk-free community. We may remove content, refuse join requests contextually via host tools, or restrict accounts when we believe it is necessary for safety or legal compliance.

7. Third-party services

The Service may integrate Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, maps, push notifications, and hosting providers. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE, OR THAT EVERY MEMBER IS WHO THEY CLAIM TO BE.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Funnity AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR FROM INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER MEMBERS (INCLUDING IN-PERSON MEETUPS).

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US (IF ANY) IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (OR LOCAL EQUIVALENT).

10. Termination and account deletion

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion from Profile settings or as described at https://funnity.com/account-deletion. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or for operational/legal reasons.

Provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimers, liability limits, and IP licenses for content already distributed) survive termination.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and updating the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be highlighted in-product or by email. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance, except where law requires additional consent.

12. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise.
